Sneak Preview: Voice on the Net Europe '99

VON Europe '99 ( pulver.com ) taking place June
21-24 at Finlandia Hall in Helsinki, Finland will be the largest
conference and exhibition taking place to date in Europe for the
VON/VoIP Industry.

At VON Europe '99 we will be taking a look at both PSTN/IP and Wireless/IP
convergence and the effects this convergence will have on each other. I
have invited leaders from the Internet, "Traditional" PSTN Telephony
World and the Wireless Industries to give their perspectives on the
effects of this convergence.

As these technologies continue to mature, I've started to believe some of
the killer VON Applications which we are all looking for will end up being
wireless appliances which we carry with us, together with hybrid wireless
devices for our desktop PCs.

During VON Europe '99 we will be looking at the businesses and
technology issues facing the European VON industry today. Special focus
will be given to the interests of: Carriers, ISPs, NextGen Telcos and
Enterprise Users.

Mike I think I was a little tough on you in that post and I apologize. I think that as an investor in this company one has to realize that they are not MSFT, they are a little company trying to break out to become a larger company. The IPO is not the answer to everything. If structured wrong or marketed incorrectly could result in a bland and unattractive IPO. Just because the IPOs are flying that Bruce listed does not guarantee success for FNET. The real success of an IPO is the ability of the underwriter to sell the issue.

As for Franklin not giving any indication that they were heading to AMEX I feel that they learned from their past lessons and did not announce it until it was so. Otherwise if they had announced it prior, and they failed, they would have caused more anguish and squealing by the loyal investors.

As for the IPO updates, what good are updates until the papers are filed. Than I believe we will have plenty of time to discuss it.
