Can some one explain why there is so much activity today on APCO? Is there a pending news of some sort? Or is it just that summer is the best time for APCO? Thanks Ramesh

My philosophy is that a company such as APCO doesn't attract much attention when the market is making new highs. Their business is doing excellent and it is a matter of time until mutual funds start buying large chunks. Wait until the volatility of the overall market increases on the down side to see APCO make its run. Granted, it's not a Kentucky Derby winner, but I do consider it a cash cow; and insider ownership levels are favorable for a management LBO. gary
