Don't look for any pot of gold at the end of this rainbow. The existing "wireless cable" system is worthless (36x 6MHz channels), so everything depends on converting it to MMDS data services. Spectrum is spectrum is spectrum. People in the market for spectrum might pick up some MMDS while they are at it. But MMDS suffers from a small allocation of spectrum (around 200MHz as I recall). Otherwise it is a good as any other microwave system, such as LMDS. There is not big equipment opportunity, though. MMDS equipment is relatively cheap and easy to make (2GHz rather than 28GHz) and there are no barriers to entry.
