re: disaster in July

Supposedly, Nostradamus wrote this about July 1999:

===================================================
L'an mil neuf cent nonante neuf sept mois,

Du ciel viendra un grand Roy d'effrayeur

Ressusciter le grand Roy d'Angoulmois,

Avant apres Mars regner par bonheur

Centuries 10.72.

In the year 1999, seventh month,

From the sky will come a terrifying great king

Rescussitate the great king of Angoulmois

Before and after Mars rules happily.
===================================================

Alot of people have faith that it is some sort of
prophesy, but if so, how do they figure out what
it is supposed to mean? Assuming this really is
prophesy, it could mean any of the following:

(1) Milosovich uses some bio weapons which prompts
a really, really, really nasty air response in
July 1999.

(2) What's left of Russia gets really ticked off over
Nato. With little to lose, Russia (or a loose cannon
Russian general) sends nukes into Western Europe
(including Paris, France; the center of Nostradamus
prophecies)

(3) Satan makes a visit from the sky into Mongolia
and suddenly stuff from the last book in the
Bible starts to happen.

(4) On the full moon July 28, 1999 astrological
forces signify a shift into a new era.
Economic, political and military chaos will
abound until the planets leave this alignment.

(5) A squadron of UFOs will undeniably make a formal
undeniable (full CNN coverage) visit. It will
suprisingly resemble:
(a) Start Trek, First Contact/Close Encounters
(b) Mars Attacks/ID4/War of the Worlds
(c) X-Files final episode
(d) Earth, Final Conflict
(e) Alien Nation
(f) Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

(6) A small asteroid hits a populated area in July 1999.
This chance event is used by fundamentalist extreamists
to take over thst country. They name themselves after
an ancient ruler. The Frence translation of their name
is similar to "Angoulmois". Later on they cause global
problems by funding international terrorists.

(7) A bird (Actually an eagle, king of the birds) gets
sucked into the jet engine causing a crash. The
ruler of Mongolia was on board which means that
the 2nd in command now is ruler. His name sounded
a little bit like "Angoulmois".

(8) A bird poops on the Angelique mois, a visiting French
diplomat. This shocks him into a heart attack. The
ambasador of Mongolia saves him with CPR. This happens
outside of the UN so it has full CNN coverage. Later
that day, DNA analysis of Angelique proves that he is
descendent from a French King. The whole world marvels
at Nostradamus prophesy leading to a 1-day break in
several wars around the planet. But this leads to no
discernable change from before and after.

World War Three set to start in July
-Nostradamus
06:46 a.m. Apr 26, 1999 Eastern

By Jeremy Lovell

CAPE TOWN, April 26 (Reuters) - World War Three will
start in July in the Balkans, last seven months and end in victory
for the U.S.-led North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, according
to a new analysis of 16th century French seer Nostradamus.

''He is clear it will start before the end of the century during the
period of Cancer which is between June 22 and July 23, and in
a triangle bordered by Greece, Italy and Turkey, which is the
Balkans,'' University of Stellenbosch Professor of Political
Science Willie Breytenbach told Reuters on Monday.

''I have to emphasise I am a sceptic. I am an academic who
was bored on a Sunday. But what I found was so chilling that I
put pen to paper,'' he added.

NATO allies have been bombing targets in Serbia for more than
a month in a so-far abortive effort to force Serbian President
Slobodan Milosevic to stop expelling the ethnic Albanian
majority in the Serbian province of Kosovo.

The air campaign has triggered angry responses from Russia,
caused a biblical exodus of refugees from Kosovo and forced
the allies to contemplate sending in ground forces.

Breytenbach said he found references to the conflict in 18 of the
950 quatrains written by Michel de Notre Dame in 1555 which
have been found to refer to the fire of London, Louis Pasteur
and Adolf Hitler among others.

''In one quatrain he mentions the Slav people. He also mentions
war in the mountains which, taken with what we know and the
talk of land forces, all gelled,'' he added.

One of the quatrains also mentions a ''tyrant'' whose name
begins with ''M,'' which could refer to Milosevic.

Another notes that the Serbs will ''change their prince,'' which
Breytenbach took to be a reference to the possible overthrow
of the Serb leader.

In another verse there is a reference to three years and seven
months of peace before the war.

''I suddenly noticed that the Dayton peace accord was signed
on November 21, 1995. Adding three years and seven months
to that brings us to the end of June 1999,'' Breytenbach said.

The Dayton peace accord, to which Milosevic was a signatory,
finally ended the conflict in Bosnia.

Breytenbach said Nostradamus made several references to the
fact that Greece would be involved in the conflict and that there
would be bloodshed in Turkey. There is also mention of the
involvement of Italy.

There are references to the Alus, which Breytenbach took to
refer to the NATO allies in which the United States is the
dominant force, and the Mabus which he said could refer to
Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Serbia.

''He, Nostradamus, is quite clear the war will last seven months
and the ultimate victor will have been born on American soil,''
Breytenbach said.

SPACE STATION MIR TO FULFILL NOSTADAMUS'S PROPHECY?

Mir to Crash on Paris in August? Designer Paco Rabanne fears his
next fashion show may be his last -- not for reasons of changing
tastes, but because Russia's Mir space station will crash down and
destroy the haute couture capital Paris. The fireball is coming on
August 11, just as the 16th century French seer Nostradamus
predicted, says Rabanne, who is so convinced of disaster he has
written a book warning about it. The Spanish-born designer has
been fascinated by the occult since the age of seven, when he says
he briefly left his body one night to fly among the stars. As a student
in Paris, he had a vision of people burned alive by fires even when
they jumped into the Seine. “All the prophecies say Paris will burn at
the end of time,” he says. “Reading the prophecies of Nostradamus,
I thought it would be a fireball or an asteroid that would fall on
Paris.” When scientists told him the Mir space station could fall,
Rabanne found the key he was looking for to some quatrains that
Nostradamus wrote about the disaster he saw for Paris. According
to Rabanne, the Mir station will start to fall out of its earth orbit in
July and hit the Chateau de Vincennes, a massive fort in eastern
Paris, on August 11. [Source: CNN and Reuters
