Interesting find in PR today from AIRB - looks like the revenue picture
just keeps getting better and better - even before the IPO!

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 5, 1999--Select Comfort
Corporation (Nasdaq:AIRB) today announced the grand opening of its
online store at www.selectcomfort.com.
Orders for the company's air beds and sleep accessories started
coming in through the website shortly after E-commerce was operational
on May 1. "Since we already sell our products through direct
marketing, adding E-commerce as a distribution channel was a natural
transition," said Dan McAthie, president and CEO. In addition to its
E-commerce capabilities, Select Comfort currently sells its products
through its direct marketing operations and more than 275
company-owned stores nationwide.
"Consumers can learn about air bed technology, sleep facts and
research, get product information...and immediately place an order, "
said Renee Christensen, vice president of E-commerce. "We want to give
consumers the opportunity to learn about and buy our products using
the method that is most convenient for them." Select Comfort is the
country's fifth largest mattress manufacturer and the first major
mattress company to sell its products online.
Select Comfort also announced that it has signed agreements with
two online affiliate partners: stayhealthy.com, a health and wellness
site;
dunkandbright.com, a furniture store that also sells online.
Information about Select Comfort products and a link to the Select
Comfort site will be featured on the websites of affiliate partners,
who will receive a referral fee for purchases of Select Comfort air
beds that originate from the affiliate's website. "We're actively
seeking additional partners that offer increased exposure for our
brand and help drive qualified traffic to our website," said
Christensen. Select Comfort also has an online advertising program and
promotes its website in its marketing materials. The company's website
will also feature special online promotions.
Select Comfort designs, manufactures and markets a line of
patented air beds, as well as foundations and sleep accessories. The
company offers its air beds exclusively under the Select Comfort brand
through its national direct marketing operations and through more than
275 Select Comfort retail stores across the country. Select Comfort
air beds are also sold through leased departments in 13 Bed Bath &
Beyond stores. Founded in 1987, Select Comfort is the leader in air
bed technology, with 24 U.S.-issued or pending patents.

Nice to see Stayhealthy.com dealing with big boys ---

--- AIRB (whom I had never heard of) is presently trading at 15 1/8 and has a market capitalization of over $280 million. By no means a small time player!
