Techwatch, <grinnnnnn> Now that is a fitting article to support Mr.Funs views from Saturday and Sunday. Cisco failing at the optical layer, I guess their customers could junk that "Old-World" Cisco equipment and purchase "New World" ASND equipment. They can't keep up with the latest technology, rip it out and replace it. I'm concerned that Cisco is wasting their resources on POTS.... I'm sorry, they don't do POTS and they are having difficulty with the DATA side. Cisco doesn't do silicon, wireless, fiber, power systems, DSP's, DWDM,etc but they are expects at the DATA side...ooopppps , hopefully they can purchase the technology. Cisco at it's inflection-point!!! Watch out below!!!

>>> Proctor says Cisco killed the switch because the company couldn't build the product to come in at those promised prices. <<

What, all the promises of a lower cost product and they couldn't deliver, I expect some posters to blast Cisco... Please blast Cisco for not delivering the products on-time and calling it quits. I can't stand quitters. Leaving their customers high-and-dry, at least they have a migration strategy... Asnd/LU-optical "New World" equipment. I fully support the strategy of "rip-it-out-and-replace-it" for those Cisco customers.
