Thursday April 29, 8:48 pm Eastern Time Tier Technologies wins $50 mln in contracts WALNUT CREEK, Calif., April 29 (Reuters) - Tier Technologies Corp on Thursday said it expects to win two government agency contracts valued at nearly $50 million over five years. The first, from the Department of Human Resources of an unnamed state agency, is valued at $18 million over its five year term. It calls for Tier to develop and operate the state's child support payment processing operation. The second, from an government agency whose name was undisclosed, is valued at $31 million over five years and it, too, calls for Tier to manage an agency child support system. In a statement, Tier said it expects the contract awards to be formalized in 30 days and work to begin within 60 days. Tier is a provider of information technology consulting, software engineering and application development. biz.yahoo.com
