U.S mfg sector backlog of orders see significant improvement

Ian: Hope this helps the trade deficit a bit in 1999.
=================================

NEW YORK, May 3 (Reuters) - The National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) on Monday said economic activity in the manufacturing sector grew for the third consecutive month in April, but at a slower pace.

NAPM's April index of manufacturing activity fell to 52.8 from a reading of 54.3 in March.

A reading above 50 suggests growth within the manufacturing sector, while a sub-50 level implies contraction, NAPM said.

''NAPM's Backlog of Orders Index has strengthened significantly in the last three months and should help drive activity in May and June,'' the report said.

A listing of the main NAPM components follows:

Yeah I agree Ian, So far I am not approved for level 3 or 4 option. Just one and two. Although I don't understand why this is the case. With the market ridiculously priced out of whack. It is less risky to sell puts now then sell calls. Don't you agree? I may ask Waterhouse about this and see what they say. Joe the loser
