Charlie --

I agree with you re: the credit line, but I would think that CF has various reserves set up to accommodate any "glitches" experienced vis a vis the conversion. Could be a standalone reserve or a reduction against any "deferred revenues," on the balance sheet, etc., that they could dip into. I really wouldn't worry about the P&L impact of making customers whole as a result of this issue.

The benefit of CF handling the PR on this correctly (and really demonstrating their commitment to world class customer service) far outweighs the temporary charge to earnings, if any...

RK (IMO)

P.S. -- what are the markets, CLOSED TODAY, fer cryin' out loud...!!!???

Charlie, as an example, borrow s.t., $1MM, to pay all late fees, charges, etc. Interest for one year $70K-$80K, pay off loan in 2000 with higher expected cash flow/earnings from the hoped for success of Checkfree. Hit to 1999 earnings is $70k-$80K (interest), not the $1MM...What am I missing??
