Company Will Partner with Rutgers University in Developing Drip Irrigation Systems Powered by Proprietary Solar Energy Systems

PENNINGTON, N.J., May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- WorldWater Corp.
(OTC Bulletin Board: WWAT) of Pennington, NJ, has been awarded a $250,000
grant from the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology to develop a
cost effective method of operating so-called drip irrigation systems with the
Company's proprietary solar pumping equipment. WorldWater will act in
partnership with Rutgers University to develop the products which will "have
the potential to expand the crop potential of agricultural land in New Jersey
and other parts of the United States, and should be well-positioned for strong
sales in international markets," according to the official statement from the
Commission.
WorldWater Corp. is a water and solar engineering company which has
developed powerful solar pumping systems capable of delivering irrigation
water from rivers in volumes up to 2,000 gallons per minute or drinking water
from wells several hundred feet deep. The Company is already operating its
pumps in 16 countries in Africa and Asia, with pending contracts for power and
water delivery projects in South Asia and the Horn of Africa (East Africa).
Under the State's "Technology Transfer Program," the grant is "intended to
support the acquisition and exploitation of new technologies by New Jersey
companies." Comments by the judges regarding the WorldWater-Rutgers project
included the following written quotations: "The commercialization plan and
potential (is) rated very high."; "The team is up to the task. The plan is
reasonable and worthy. The scientific validity of drip irrigation systems and
the company's access to current markets bodes well for the project."; "The
Company could become a leader in irrigation systems technology worldwide with
good impact in New Jersey."
