it is a merchandise and can be traded.
Also, the term inflation can be well
applied to it (according to the text
book).

The definition of inflation is not limited
to traditional goods only. Have you ever
heard that people say the currency of
southeast Asia countries are inflated
relative to US dollars in the articles.
Even the money itself can be regarded
as merchandise. So, to use the term
inflation for the stock price is quite
usual to some of us.
