We have no sales tax in Oregon. Maybe the local Fry's here is ripping us off, which wouldn't be a surprise to me.

Still, if E-Machines can build reliable computers for the prices they are charging, then all the better. Like I said before, if they standardize on Intel's new Whitney chipset, I'd feel a lot better about their quality, and their business outlook will seem rosy. Well, at least until the next E-Machines wannabe also standardizes on Whitney, then pushes his own advantages, like ... uh ... free Starbucks for a month with every purchase of a PC?
