AAPL up CPQ up GTW up DELL down What is wrong with this picture? People nervous about earnings. Don't we usually make a run here into earnings. I would not wonder about DELL if the other box makers were not moving in the opposite direction. Any ideas? Do we have any chance of closing above 42?

You are quite right Mark: "Commission". Brokerage firms have been hit hard by online brokers with dirt cheap commissions. The main bread and butter of their business is the institutional business. Additionally, mutual fund managers get bonus based on performance. So they cashed in the profit from these high flying stocks, and the money has to go somewhere. Cyclicals! But that will stop fairly soon. Has anybody ever seen a cyclical stock with a PE of > 100? Best regards Paul
