Wed 12 May 99 News Release
Mr. Lloyd Tattersall reports:
Big Valley Resources has entered into negotiations for the possible
acquisition of a Canadian mineral property. As a condition of ongoing
negotiations, Big Valley is unable to disclose full details until such time
as an agreement with the property vendor has been completed. Big Valley is
currently completing its initial due diligence and anticipates that
negotiations will be completed by the end of May, 1999.
In an unrelated matter, on April 15, 1999, (Stockwatch April 16, 1999), Big
Valley announced that it had reached an agreement in principle with
Imperial Metals Corporation and SC Minerals Canada Limited, a division of
Sumitomo Canada Limited. Under the terms of the agreement in principle, Big
Valley was to be granted an option to acquire a 50 per cent interest in
three mineral claims held by Imperial and SC Minerals. Big Valley has
recently been advised that SC Minerals is unable to proceed with the
transaction at this time.
As a matter of record, Big Valley has been advised by the B.C. Securities
Commission that it was incorrectly placed on the April 28, 1999, delinquent
filer list. Big Valley is up to date with all its required filings with the
B.C. Securities Commission.
