Has anyone heard anything directly from the company. There must be some reason that they do not do even the slightest PR.

It's very likely because they are in a "quiet period". An explanation of the current practices during the quiet period can be found at the link below. A short excerpt from this article by Richard J. Wolff of Golin/Harris Intl.:

The IPO "quiet period"

SEC guidelines, developed in the 1930s, define the peculiar nature of the IPO communications agenda. Beyond governing the legal terms of the offering, reflected in the contents of the prospectus, these regulations insist on a so-called quiet period-extending from 30 days before, to 25 days after the offering. During this period, the SEC prohibits new publicity efforts, advertising or forecasts and projections of revenues, income or earning per share. Factual and general financial announcements are allowed, but they cannot reflect the impending offering or future growth of the company. Close monitoring of the corporate voice by the communications professional is therefore essential.
