SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 1999--Phoenix Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:PTEC - news) -- the global leader in system-level software and semiconductor IP cores for computers, system-on-chip, embedded systems, and information appliances -- today announced that Hyundai Corporation has signed a licensing agreement for Phoenix®'s Universal Serial Bus (USB) device controller core.

The USB 1.1 specification-compliant core will be incorporated into Hyundai's next generation imaging systems.
