I personally feel that management couldn't care less about timing the earnings release. As usual, they will release earnings on the last day they are required to do so.

My guess is that if there is any good news, deals, partnerships, etc. to report, it will happen before May 18, the day of the annual meetings of Loral and Globalstar and followed immediately by the first analyst's meeting in a year and a half. Look at the last year. Both stocks are 40% below their peak levels. We've had hot failures, cold failures, high yield market meltdowns, emerging markets blow-ups and generally just a crappy environment for the whole industry. And the momentum investors are long gone. Bernie & Co. probably doesn't want to take a lot of abuse from shareholders, analysts and portfolio managers - not that Bernie can't handle that and may not particularly care about weak-kneed whiners - so if he's got any good news, we'll hear about it by then.
