I sold ELNK today and banked a couple of points. Holding COMS, ASND, DELL and a couple others and things are starting to look a little brighter. I don't know if you are aware or not but several months ago I PMed Tim and asked for some advice. I did so for a couple reasons, First I liked his investment style and the advice he was giving people. It was always honest and to the point. Second I respected the fact that he has survived this game we play every day for as long as he has and has been successful at it. Last year I had a huge financial setback in the market ( the amount is not important. It was the bulk of our liquid assets.) When I was at my lowest point both financially and mentally Tim took the time and the interest to coach me back to the point I have the confidence in myself needed to make a living doing this. A couple of his picks made the difference in our lives at a time they were most needed. But that is not why I respect Tim , I respect Tim because he tries to truly help people. He has made the mistakes and is willing to share his hard learned experiences with people in the hope of helping others avoid those mistakes. I have never heard Tim ask for anything in return from anyone outside of respect. Do I think Tim is close to perfect? HELL NO! That person does not exist. But I do know that Tim is uncommonly honest, sincere in his desire to see people improve their trading skills and avoid needless mistakes and risks. He is one of the most followed and respected posters on SI and as far as I know has never tried to charge for his picks. I know for a fact he has made a definite difference in my life and many others on SI. I know people who find fault with Tim continue to show up posting on his thread (that I find pretty amusing). Is Tim the greatest thing since sliced bread ? Hell No! But because of Tim's help and generosity I am sure buttering mine better today and for the help he has given me and the lessons he has taken the time to teach me I will be eternally grateful. I sincerely doubt that I am alone. jmho, MarkC.
