Jeff,
I think it's safe to say that most of us know you're not a rumor monger. I'm sure you didn't post that info without careful consideration. Given BF's known dissatisfaction with the current share price, I doubt that he would consider any offer less than $50.00. Do you have any indication whether this rumored buyout might be friendly or hostile?
Jim

Game Boy Color Has Huge Impact on First Quarter Sales [5-3-99 11:50am ET]

In the first full quarter since Nintendo's Game Boy Color release, system sales shot up 228 percent in units and a staggering 336 percent in revenue, according to PC Data, Inc. Because of the Game Boy Color boom, Game Boy software sales increased 200% in units and 265% in revenue. "Game Boy certainly has plenty of life left in it," said Matt Gravett, PC Data's video games coordinator. "Considering that Sony's Playstation and Nintendo 64 collectively achieved less than 11 percent growth, Game Boy's 17 percent increase prior to the launch of the Game Boy Color provides ample evidence that it is indeed the most successful and enduring franchise in video game history." Overall, of all Game Boy systems sold, 68.5% were the color version and 41% of all Game Boy games purchased were Game Boy color titles. Of the 100 top selling Game Boy titles, 31 of the 36 Game Boy Color titles made the
list.
