Interesting. I certainly watch the S&P futures very closely all day and I will sometimes initiate a stock position if I see what I think is a legitimate rally in the SPM9. I remember one of Greenspan's surprise cuts last fall the spoos suddenly went from something like +9 to +70 in about twenty seconds before the news hit CNBC or any where else. This was a golden opportunity to ride stocks up and they did go up huge. So the spoos can be a very handy indicator.

I haven't made much out of the bond as an indicator yet but it is at a critical point right now IMO, altho Alan feels up to 7% is no problem. I think if the long bond touches 6% we will see much more volatility including some impressive downdrafts in stocks.
