No argument about that. But from a finance perspective, when an investor buys a share of CUBE, more than a quarter of that's share current value is represented by cash. CUBE's "beta" represents a cost of capital that far exceeds the risk-free rate an investor could lock-in owning CD's. If an investor wants to own cash, there are far less risky and more direct ways to own it (like CD's).

CUBE's management has been steadily accumulating cash now for three years and have failed to put it to work. They have a fiduciary responsibility to put the cash to work in risk-adjusted projects commensurate with their cost of capital or GIVE IT BACK TO THEIR SHAREHOLDERS.
