Dave, it is great to have you over here "where the going gets tough and the tough get going."

Charger has a point, though. Remember that dude Elliot (was he with Goldman Sachs, or am I thinking of someone else?) who wrote "not with a bang, but a whimper." I'm afraid Auric, clever dude that he is, has set an impossible puzzle for us to solve, i.e. I don't think we'll see -40% in eight days, but maybe -80% over say, a hundred days. If you buy my theory that YHOO is the lead dog on the sled, then we are already seeing the pattern of slow, steady decline; indifference as mesaured by low volume triumphing over all else... Not with a bang but a whimper, if you get my drift...

It's late, I'm tired, but I will settle for Mondays like the last two every week...

BTW, everybody check out the article on Meeker in the New Yorker, if you haven't already. More signs that the jig is up, i.e. when everybody knows somebody is hot, they're already not.

Charger, thanks for the response. My apologies to the rest of the board if this was a previously stated rule that I didn't bother to look up.

Today's action on Yahoo and other nets, up smartly in the morning and then falling off in the afternoon, shows the stocks still have legs. Why, I don't know, but they're still hanging in there. I'll stand by my prediction that the fall will begin on the 4th quarter earnings announced by Yahoo on or about 1/11/2000.

Good luck all.

Dave
