well, it is all looking like a repeat performance from Nvidia. All the benchmarks I have seen give the V3 the edge more often than not. Also, reviewers are recommending Voodoos for slower machines, AMDs and any Super7 system.

There is a consensus that the TNT2 has better image quality but Nvidia promised they'd be faster than the Voodoo3 too. Take a squizz at fastgraphics.com if you need further confirmation. It puts all released TNT2 boards up against all the V3s (including the 3500) in a QuakeII time demo. The V3 2000 beats the TNT2 Ultra.

Oddly, the V3s wouldn't run at 1600 x 1200. Has anyone had any success in doing this. My desktop settings maxes out at 1280 * 1024. Possibly due to the cheap 17" I have.

The preview of the Open GL ICD beta was extremely good ie, fast. I'm expecting some raised eyebrows when the final is released.
