RM, You make an excellent point. Since my DGIV experience, I've simply requested that posters using excess enthusiasm about a stock by making claims that may very well be wrong about tone down their rhetoric. They have the right to posts things like MSGI is going to 6 in two weeks, but it ends up leaving a bad taste in investors mouths when such claims fail. The person was repeatedly wrong in their price predictions and everyone started screaming pump and dump. I finally got the person to post the reason the price should rise and not make predictions as to when the price would pop. I hope that I came across as a voice of reason instead of some type of board policeman, but it was starting to look like this thread a year ago for a while. Fortunately the fundamentals have continued to reveal themselves with that stock and after a month of people attacking the person as a pump and dumper when the price fell (as well as two of his other picks) the stock finally took off. It's amazing how quickly people will fall in behind a thread leader if that leader is perceived as someone who will lead them to riches. But putting your faith in someone's stock picks based solely on their say-so is dumb.
However, if people post a blatant lie, like the recent PAIR debacle, shouldn't that person be responsible? Don't you think people should be held responsible for posting more than just their opinions? If the basher Spider Valdez can be sued for his inflamatory attacks on a company (I forget it's name), should a hyper posting equally optimistic falsehoods be equally accountable? I'm not sure what the answers are either. It's interesting watching all this unfold.
Take care.
K

Agreed, having said this i think it's time for a joke. An old man walks
into confession. He says father, the other day i was grocery shopping
with my wife when she realized that she was late for a meeting with
her girlfriends. She said, 'honey would you mind finishing the
shopping for us while I go?' Naturally I said yes. As I continued down
the aisle, there were two very young good looking girls. They were
staring at me and smiling. I smiled back and the next thing you know
the three of us went home and had sex together. At this point the
priest interrupts and says, "When was the last time you were in
confession?" "I've never been." says the old man, "I'm Jewish." The
priest asks, "So what are you telling me for?" The old man responds,
"I'm tellin' everybody."

Let me know if this is a little much.
