Power Direct Inc. Announces Its Greeting Card Lotto Business Plan

VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 3, 1999--Power Direct, Inc.
(OTC BB:PWDR) will be the first to launch the Greeting Card Lotto(tm)
service on the Internet. PWDR plans to capture the majority share of this
new business by being the first to combine two of the world's oldest and
most popular traditions, Greeting Cards and Lotteries, on the Internet.

The traditional greeting card industry is a huge business with 1998 sales of
over $7.5 billion US Dollars in the US alone. The traditional Instant Lottery
and 6/49 style ticket sales in the USA and Canada in 1995 were well over
$37 Billion US Dollars. The Internet Gaming Industry is even larger - with
worldwide projections becoming astronomical. "The 1998 Casino & Gaming
Business Market Research Handbook predicts that the Internet gaming
market could reach $100 - 200 Billion US Dollars in annual revenues by
2005."

PWDR feels that it has created a niche market that will far outperform some
of the more traditional Internet Lottery concepts - because it will capture the
entire population since everyone sends Greeting Cards.

WHAT IS A GREETING CARD LOTTO(tm)?

A "Greeting Card Lottery" or as we called it, a "Greeting Card Lotto(tm)"
consists of an Electronic Greeting Card that is sent to the recipient via
Email. When the recipient opens the electronic card, it contains an
Electronic Instant Win Lottery Ticket.

This is essentially what millions of people receive on their birthdays or
Christmas from various friends and relatives who don't know what to buy for
them. But the difference between a normal paper or Internet based Instant
Win ticket and a Greeting Card Lotto(tm) ticket is that once the Instant Win
portion of the draw is complete, there is additional weekly, monthly, and
yearly prizes still to be won. What makes it really different, is that BOTH the
Sender and Recipient of the ticket share the winnings in an approximate
70%/30% split in favor of the Recipient. If the Sender sends himself or herself
a ticket, then 100% of the winning jackpot goes to the sender.

There is no other lottery in the world that has this feature.

HOW CAN PWDR CAPTURE THIS MARKET?

PWDR will capture the majority share of this new market through innovative
marketing techniques, as well as having the first, and currently, ONLY
Greeting Card Lotto(tm) on the Internet. Most of the sales will come from
"Word of Mouth" style of marketing - but by email and not by voice - once
you have received one of the Greeting Card Lotto(tm) tickets, you will most
likely send the same type of card back.

SIZE OF THE GREETING CARD MARKET.

In 1998, over 7 billion greeting cards were purchased by American
consumers, generating a total of approximately $7.5 billion in US retail sales
with the Worldwide market being over $15 billion. Of the total greeting cards
purchased annually, approximately half are seasonal and the remaining half
are everyday cards. Sales of alternative cards, especially non-occasion
cards, are on the increase.

SIZE OF THE INTERNET MARKET

According to the Computer Industry Almanac, there were more than 147
million Internet users in the world at the end of 1998. The Computer Industry
Almanac projects that there will be 320 million Internet users worldwide at
the end of the year 2000, and more than 720 million users worldwide at the
end of 2005. The US Internet population will grow to more than 207 million
Internet users in 2005, that will be 29 per cent of the world's total.

MARKETING PLAN.

PWDR plans to aggressively market this product utilizing all the Internet
Marketing channels, including sending out free cards to potential new
players. Each of these free cards has the potential to be a winner of
thousands of dollars, and also has the ability to be forwarded to 10 friends
and colleagues.

The Company plans to complete the purchase of the URL for the start of
operations within the week as well as finalizing its operating agreement with
Greenwich Presentation.
