Bank rate drops again
OTTAWA (CP) - The Bank of Canada dropped its trend-setting bank rate by one-quarter of a percentage point Tuesday, to 4.75 per cent. With the Canadian dollar on an upward trend towards 70 cents and inflation still running at the lower end of the bank's one- to three-per-cent target range, the central banker found room to ease rates.
