Do they really charge you money to close your account?

i kept my account. well, a *little* bit in it...

i've got: some money for 1 or 2 IPOs, my RVWD stock, and some june calls.

that's it. when the IPO trickle stops, i'll probably take the rest out. that's the only way to get the message across...bitch, and take most of your money out.

Didn't you get one of those handy little check books when you opened your account? I plan to use mine to make a deposit to my Waterhouse account and then make e-trade transfer my stock. I may allow the scumsuckers the honor of cutting a check for a buck or two.

I have put up with a lot of crap from this company and maintained my account with the illusion that I would be able to get in on the IPO bandwagon. The only way to get an IPO is to hang out after hours and reload screens for an hour or two every day to catch the opening. And then when you do get in you wait for a message informing you that they have no shares left. Which is the same as saying we will only sell you shares if there is no interest in the issue.

$24,000 a year I pay this company and I gotta stand in line like a frigging cow. Screw E-trade. I'll take my money elsewhere. bd
