It is evident that Comcast is desperate. I wonder though if AOL is pulling strings somehow for they are in a desperate position also when it comes to cable access. After all, AOL did seem to back off rather quickly without even a small fight. Also, you would think that MCI/WCOM would be more focused on the NXTL deal. The more I see develop with this story, the more I realize that T has had this on the drawing board for quite some time. They have all of their bases covered and caught the rest of the industry off guard. You have to admire that in a sick twisted sort of way.
