Mike, to elaborate on your savings in Japan point interest earned on savings is also a source of income which has been decimated by low rates. In addition, workers must save more of current income to compensate for the expected lower returns on their savings. What about the stock market in Japan ? HO HO HO the NIKKEI is still down about 60% after ten years of tough love. They should invest in US stocks because they never decline -g- Mike
