t36, yes, I read the article in Mo Mag some days ago. Even before that, I had no doubt we'll be fine :-)

It all depends on your investment goals: If you want immediate gratification over the next 2 weeks, arguably, EMC may be a little dead for now. But over 1, 2, 3 and more years, I have no doubt that EMC will continue to prosper.

The fact that HWP will not/may not resell EMC anymore does NOT have any influence on the TOTAL end market demand for storage and the rapid growth of the GLOBAL data storage market. Think about that for a moment...

So if EMC executes well (which I trust they will), of course, EMC will have no problem retaining/increasing their share in the GLOBAL market (which they continue see in the 1/3 range).
