Today's press release about appointment of Ameritrade founder to NTBK board of directors is the best possible news. The only lingering doubt I have had about NTBK is that their own ceo is so conservative about adding new services. During the Vcallapalooza he fumbled the question about future acquisition plans. It seemed clear that the ceo had not even thought about such a possibility, but would rather outsource many lucrative new products and services, such as online trading. Hopefully the appointment of this new board member will spur NTBK to develop their own brokerage stuff in house, thus boosting profit margins down the line. -Sanjay Disclure: no position in NTBK. just watching for now
