email sent to Micon's Kip B (will post any reply, I figure if D. Niles was getting answers to his questions I may as well try to get answers to mine):
During the past two months the ASPs, average selling prices, of DRAM products have apparently dropped by more than 25% and the drop may be as much at 40+% for some components. This seems to indicate that Micron's revenues from DRAM sales this quarter will be lower than the previous quarter even allowing for robust bit growth. Given this change in the pricing environment are you comfortable with the average estimates of about $0.17 for earnings this quarter and $0.30 for next quarter?
Thanks
