Huge blocks going off at the bid all morning... virtually no large block buys. This doesn't bode well for the institutions faith going forward short term....

The recent closer
ties between IBM and EMC suggests to me that EMC may have seen the HP
decision coming.


Can you please explain what you see as a connection between IBM's and EMC's closer ties and HP probably going over to Hitachi? I assume the EMC - IBM alliance is something like the Dell - IBM one, where EMC and Dell have some kind of priority or "first look" at new IBM technologies in the hard drive and semiconductor areas. Do you think, for example, that EMC required this to combat Hitachi? Does Hitachi make their own drives, like Fujitsu?

Interesting point, and I'd like to hear more.
