jim: was referring to the "closing" end of the month high back in the sep-oct period of 75. see chart below. this monthly xau chart now shows yesterday close also. last friday, the month's end close was 74 something. by the way, last night, bigcharts updated this monthly chart's slow stochastics and it now show a BIG jump from the lows on the stochastic indicator....i do wish they would/could update these monthly indicators more often anyway, that crossing of the red and blue is a majoy BUY SIGNAL and one of my indications of the end of the bear market in the XAU. now i am waiting to see if we get a close above that 89 ema this friday. i would want to see that also. bigcharts.com
