Let me clear up a few things about reliability, QCharts, and Live Charts. 1) QCharts is NOT the same as Live Charts. * It is a Windows application, Live Charts is Java. * It costs $55 more per month. * It is a MUCH more powerful program than Live Charts. 2) Java applets are much harder to load balance than custom Windows applications. We have built in code for QCharts to automatically find the fastest of the servers we have distributed around the country. This is not feasible in Java because of security restrictions, so Live Charts users always are connected to our servers in Mountain View, and sometimes to overloaded servers. 3) There are many more people using Live Charts, and we are experiencing overloaded servers for the Java applet. This is the source of your applet problems. 4) Solving this overload problem is hard, but we believe that we have a solution that will be implemented in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, it will sometimes help to reload the browser page because you might be assigned to a different server. 5) We do, in fact, give higher priority to customers depending on what subscription level they have. QCharts subscribers will, rightly, receive faster responses to their questions than Plus subscribers. We are investing a lot to improve response to ALL users, but there will always be a difference in service levels. In summary, if you are a serious trader you are much better served by subscribing to QCharts. It is a much more powerful and much more reliable program...users on this thread can verify. If you are a more casual user, then Live Charts will probably suffice, with the caveat that we do recognize that Live Charts reliability still can and should be improved.
