is it bad form to post to oneself?

fwiw, today, jubak posted NTAP's retort of sorts.

kinda off the wall, but i'm curious: how do you folks shorthand "NTAP?" do you say "en-tap" or "en-tee app?"

personally, i prefer the former.

New Developments on Past Columns

Adam Trunkey, the public relations manager at Network Appliance (NTAP), checked in with some additional information and a correction after I added the stock to Jubak's Picks in my May 4 column. On the information front, Trunkey noted that Dell Computer (DELL) announced on May 3 that it had started to ship PowerVault filers manufactured by Network Appliance. And in the way of a correction, he took exception to my description of the product as caching hardware or software. A filer is better defined, he e-mailed me, as "a server-independent storage appliance that connects directly to corporate networks rather than through traditional servers and mainframes. Its design allows it to serve/store data faster because that is all it does."
