Hi Rangle;

[ALL CONCERNED,
Spokewith a reseller ...he seems to think that Bell South would still have to charge for the minutes used]

The way I understand it there are two components the customer pays for - airtime and the Portico upgrade. The $29.95 flat rate is just for the Portico service upgrade, but the user would still have to pay for airtime under their normal wireless plan. Could the reseller you spoke with be referring to the airtime minutes and not a Portico service variable cost?

An interesting question is whether GMGC gets a cut of the incremental airtime revenues created by Portico usage and/or how much of the $29.95 they get to keep. Hopefully Markman will outline the deal structure in his forthcoming memo, as well as how he's handling the channel conflict this deal creates.
