Steve, i said i was laughing hard because some of the posts on yahoo this morning were funny. didn't mean to confuse you. companies such as Lucent, Motorola, Nortel, VocalTec, Netspeak, etc. are equipment vendors. in fact, David Greenblatt of IDT had once said that IDT's VoIP switch technology was 6 months to a year ahead of Lucent and Nortel. i am suspecting that they are catching up. however, it is of no concern of mine because IDT makes and deploys its own switches and it is the de-facto standard--at least it has been demonstrated that it is compatible with Siemens's technology. i am aware of IDT's competition, but i don't waste my worries over those OTC BB companies. in fact, i have my own watch-list over some other players which i am not going to name yet until i find more information.
