Jim, I agree and think that this is huge. In fact, if HDS was not involved, this would be announced as Ancor's second Tier 1 OEM, along with HDS.

Here is a fun scenario, which is all speculation: HWP did not want to continue to purchase McData's inferior fibre channel switch, but could only get out from under the contract (which originated in connection with McData's purchase of switch technology from HWP) if it bought a package, including switches, from another vendor. That other vendor was HDS, but until HDS announced its' plans, HWP was taking a wait and see attitude as to where to go. Once HDS announced that it was partnering with the Ancor switch, as well as the full details of the Freedom program HWP found that agreeable, made its decision, and has now implemented that decision -- with Ancor being a key part of HWP's decision.

Today's announcement may explain what I thought I detected during the conference call in terms of unannounced OEM's -- or the like, which I detailed in an altogether too long message last week.
