I think we ought to join with the environmentalists and prevent ALL importation into Florida of oil and/or natural gas that might leak or spill in any form. No oil and/or gas pipelines, no tankers by sea and no trucks carrying anything flammable on the public roads. Actually, I think that Florida is the sixth highest producing State if I recall correctly.
Seriously, the pipeline is for natural gas and I think that people generally feel more comfortable with gas leaking than with oil leaking. I wouldn't be surprised to find that Coastal Petroleum might find some natural gas somewhere on their vast leaseholdings. That could be interesting. <G>.
