To engineer: The fog is lifting a bit thanks to you. Have been very curious about all this since over a year ago Dr Viterbi suggested that the best way to handle voice and data on CDMA was separately side by side. Never could quite get through my head how that would work. If I understand you properly there are several evolving options and all of them depend on the modifications the carriers such as Sprint PCS make to accomodate them. So the pace of adoption depends heavily on the pace of the carriers and the specific choices they make as to which one or which permissive menu to include in their service, no? Chaz
