Greg, by the Point-and-Figure TA method KLIC is still on a buy
signal [by a hair]. If it drops to 20 intraday, that would create a sell signal. [exceeding a previous bottom]

Greg, you need to read that quote one more time:

"Our favorites in the latter group are Lam Research (LRCX, where we're throwing in the towel for now on the short-side) and Kulicke & Soffa (KLIC)."

If, for the moment, you take out the parenthetical remark, that second sentence would read,

"Our favorites in the latter group are Lam Research and Kulicke & Soffa (KLIC)"

The statement in parentheses is clearly related to Lam Research (LRCX):

"(LRCX, where we're throwing in the towel for now on the short-side)".

So their former short position was on Lam, not KLIC.
