Earnings Plays...I tried to illustrate that the earnings plays newsletter is not your Worth or Business Week for casual perusal at what WAS hot last month. They are dynamic plays that have yet to get into the newspaper or the financial magazines. FRWD was an earnings play that on Friday April 30, 1999 took the 7th place in a list of 200 stocks that are the market's creme of the crop. But it wasn't there 3 weeks ago. Now I'm sure that PWR will be there after its earnings report with 10 points gain in 5 days. Last quarter FRNT was there, good for a double + 1 point.

SDLI, CDWC, BEBE, ANF, ETEK, PVN, SEBL,TLAB, CPRT, TAGS,ZQK, EFII all in the top 35. There is no MSFT there or no AMZN among the top 25. If you check the newspaper 3 days to 1 week after they are our earnings plays they turn up there, usually on the "new America" page.

There are internets there for sure, since the 'nets were great earnings plays but there are others there as well. If you ignore them you will be relagated to 'wait out the tech and net' corrections until you can trade once again.
