newbridge is down big...but cisco is only down 3/8 on instinet...cisco is the leader...in a league of its own...the earnings next week won't disappoint. the little guys like newbridge can't keep up with cisco and lu - the demand was there but they couldn't execute. cheers, GR

Matt,

Newbridge warned, but based on the press release, it looks like mismanagement in quarterly sales cycles, inventories and manufacturing rather than lack of available business, unless the president is simply full of it. I guess that we will find out.

<<Newbridge Networks just warned. Probably bad for the whole sector?>> If you read the article it is quite clear that their problem is company specific, that the business is out there but they had difficulty executing. Something Cisco has rarely had a problem doing! Regards and aloha.
