Don't know my broker says from other tenders it can be as fast as 5-10 days to a month depending on how fast the acquiring company and transfer agent are willing to move. If you don't tender your shares and more than 50% are tendered then it could be a couple of months till your shares are cashed out. Philips will have to call a special vote and vote their shares greater than 50% and then move to close the deal. Quicker to just tender if you believe the tender will go through. With the backing of VLSI board there is no reason a small investor should fight it.
