Here is the puzzle, then. The equipment stocks (case, cat, deere, parker h., cummins, plus AA, PD and other cyclicals did just fine today. If it was due to interest rates, they should have been hit really hard. Nothing ever makes sense. The only constant is : as soon as I buy a stock, it goes down. As soon as I sell short, it goes up. Maybe I should invest in CD's.

Shorting via shares or puts? The May180 puts was traded around $4 3/4 while Amzn was trading @220 last week, it's close to $38/39 now, other strikes show equally impressive gain too. Few puts traded today, when will they take profit? Do you think that the bond holders were the heavy buyers?
