Vlad,

<Not doing so IMO reflects gross incompetence on their part.>

If they had planned provisionally to release during the day and then saw the death pill and vomit pill releases, they might have retreated not wishing to have a Vivus release buried in that *?!%. Then I believe that it would be best to have the last word and release towards the end of the meeting.

But if Vivus make no press release it will be very puzzling. It cannot be that Leland's reference to the web site they regard enough as he mentions 5 presentations, but there are only 2 on the site. I don't know in which session the gene therapy presentations were, I have no news about gene therapy for a long time.

<<Do you consider informing the public of R&D progress as "touting"???

IMO, Dr Christ's work needs to have a nice write up in some popular publication over this week end. I think that outta add some starch to the short's shorts. Perhaps another entremed in the makings.>>

VLAD

I can tell you that the FDA takes a very dim view of approving therapies that have promoted to the public before they are approved. And the SEC takes a very dim view of companies that would promote their stock with announcements of products that may or may not happen. This gene therapy and Dr Christ is still best discussed in scientific circles, it is very real, but not immediately material to VVUS.

As for ENMD, do you want VVUS to spike up to 80 on public speculation over a non-viable treatment, and fall back to 10, thus creating a legal cause of action for everyone who bought it over 10 and lost?

(Don't answer that, LOL, I'd take it in a minute, too)

I appreciate your dedication to the cause, and hours and days of DD that you have contributed to this thread. Don't let it frustrate you too much on the short term stuff. Listen to betty, she is right, after 1 1/2 years the stock is in a solid uptrend, don't sweat the small stuff.
