"analysts underestimate future MSFT revenue"

are they that stupid or just want to stay on the good side of microsoft (so as to administer microsoft 401 (k) plans) by spouting the company line? i think this is what the head of the securities and exchange commission was saying today (confiict of interest).

regards

SFD: They also overlook the fact that while PCLN and their ilk are accorded outlandish PE multiples, Expedia which is probably the biggest online travel agency is given short shrift. I can see why MSFT is considering spinning off its internet holdings as a holding co. tracking stock. The internet assets of MSFT are accorded very little in the way of stock value. I really don't understand what is going on here but the opportunity to buy in at a late date at a discounted price is enormous here. MSFT is a blue chip and has a blue chip balance sheet and a PE that is worth every penny of its premium. I agree with your analysis.
