Frank,
Hi!!!

RE: HI Kemble. Do you think that the downturn is Compaq and their present problems is weighing on the performance of Dell? Why is Ibm and even apple computer performing better then Dell

First of all...NO ONE is performing better than DELL....IMO DELL is one of the main reason for the downfall in Compaq....The servers that DELL can now offer are finally being leveraged to DELL's advantage in many more corporate bids..."WE WILL REWRITE THE WAY BUSINESS IS DONE IN THE ENTERPRISE BUSINESS"....Also, I see that the "service" of CPQ is not up to par and DELL is purportedly the benefactor....I can recall an article that came out way over a year ago that singled out DELL as the notebook of choice in the majority of businesses..Something like: "most likely to purchase"...IBM still can't deliver...that alliance with them is almost a must for IBM....let alone what it would do for DELL...imagine DELL and IBM being able to almost "partner" their expertise in a contract...DELL and IBM...hardware on the cutting edge...service of IBM and the DELL service of virtual integration relationships aiding the bidding process...go figure...would CPQ and HWP stand a chance?
And yes...some folks still haven't figured it out yet....that is why the perception of CPQ may be dragging down the stock....

Best, Kemble
