All the more reason for server boxmakers like Compaq, Dell, HP, etc. to care about what goes inside the server. You think AMD will find more than one boxmaker willing to build K7 servers if the platform is unstable? "Gee, I'd like to buy your hot-rod K7 and put it into my servers, but is it reliable enough? I wouldn't want my brand name stuck on a server that goes ape $hit."

Like you said, it's really not that hard to figure out.
